Julia Rose, MA
Julia (she/her) has always had a soft spot for the people everyone else relies on—the helpers, caregivers, and steady supporters who often put their own needs last. Her background as a teacher continues to inform her work as a therapist, grounding her approach in the belief that everyone deserves a space where they feel seen, understood, and valued.
Julia earned her master's degree in counseling from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. She works with children ages 6 and older, adolescents, and adults from an existential, person-centered, and trauma-informed perspective. Julia believes that many of the challenges that bring people to therapy are also deeply human questions about identity, belonging, purpose, and meaning. She frequently works with clients navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, depression, ADHD, relationship concerns, and major life transitions.
Her approach is rooted in curiosity, compassion, and collaboration. Drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), Julia helps clients build insight, strengthen self-understanding, and move toward meaningful change. Social justice is an important part of her practice, and she values exploring how identity, relationships, culture, and larger systems shape our experiences and worldview.
Outside of the therapy room, Julia enjoys hiking, reading, and exploring an ever-growing list of new hobbies and interests.
Julia is currently working toward independent clinical licensure (LPCC) under the supervision of a licensed therapist.
