Alissa (she/her) approaches therapy through a trauma-informed lens, emphasizing autonomy, trust, and emotional safety in the therapeutic relationship. She holds a Master’s degree in Counseling and Psychological Studies from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota and is an approved Level 1 hypnotherapist. Alissa works with adults and couples.

She supports clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, parenting stress, and women’s issues across the lifespan. Alissa is especially drawn to working with individuals who feel deeply and fear rejection—often described as “too sensitive”—including those struggling with low self-esteem, people-pleasing, and perfectionism.

Before becoming a therapist, Alissa spent over ten years in business roles across healthcare, nonprofit, technology, and insurance settings. This experience informs her work with professionals at all levels as they navigate workplace stress, burnout, and career transitions.

Alissa tailors therapy to each client’s unique needs, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), motivational interviewing, feminist therapy, and psychodynamic and attachment-based approaches. She also incorporates clinical hypnosis to support treatment related to anxiety, depression, and stress management.

Alissa is currently completing the supervised clinical hours required for full licensure.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two children, engaging in creative play and crafts, as well as reading, listening to podcasts, exploring new restaurants, and practicing meditation and self-hypnosis.
