Addie Michlitsch, MA, LPCC, LADC
Addie views empathy as one of her most valuable assets as she is comfortable sitting with and sharing pain, joy, ambivalence and hope. As an existential therapist, she encourages people to live authentically, eliciting their own creativity, humor, and insight to help them build the lives they want. She is honored to share the journey, as others utilize their own strengths to find the freedom they are seeking.
Addie received her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Bethel University and has a Graduate Certificate in Addiction Studies from the University of Minnesota. She has over 12 years of experience working with individuals with mood disorders and drug and alcohol addictions. She also enjoys counseling related to spirituality, relationships, pregnancy/parenting (as a mother of three herself including twins and a child with special needs), life transitions, and self-injury.
“Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms – to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.” -Viktor Frankl, Man’s Search for Meaning
